Pathways

Graduates of the Institute may seek credits to the relevant degree programs in Australian Universities. The Institute has no special arrangements with any Australian University and there is no guaranteed entry into University programs.

Qualifications to be Issued

Students completing all assessment requirements for a qualification will be awarded a certificate corresponding to the completed course. Students completing assessment requirements for part of a qualification will be awarded a Statement of Attainment indicating which modules or units of competency they have completed.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process designed to recognise previous formal or informal learning, work and life experiences that the student may have had to the extent that they are relevant to the course outcomes. The RPL process allows students to receive recognition under these circumstances and, therefore, enables them to focus more on areas they need to achieve competencies in order to gain their qualifications. Students who believe they already have some of the competencies in the course may apply for RPL. An essential requirement of RPL is that the student must prove that he/she currently has the required competencies. An application may only be made after enrolment and payment of fees, using the RPL application form that will be provided during orientation. Students must attach verified copies of all relevant documents to the RPL application form.

Special Needs Support

If a student with a disability meets all entry requirements, we shall make reasonable adjustments necessary for that person to perform their course work. Reasonable adjustment is provided to those with a disability or special need according to individual circumstances. Our city premises are on the first floor and accessible only by a lift, but we regularly conduct classes all over Melbourne and country Victoria where there is easier access for disabled students.
